Project Metropolitan began in 2019. When we started, there were very few electric motorcycles in the market and we made the decision to build a more affordable one for Malaysians. Legatus Sdn. Bhd. developed this model and created many industry firsts including faster charging time, more efficient propulsion setup, first electric two wheeler (E2W) with LFP battery setup, first model to reach 100km/h speed, first street legal E2W with reverse gear etc. We achieved our main objectives under Legatus Metropolitan i.e. to build our own E2W solution which translated into over 30% savings (vs competitors in same category) in charging time, pricing and upped the performance levels by 20%-30% (speed, efficiency) so that Malaysians can enjoy the fruit of our labour. Our next target is to export this model (current pricing only available here) to promote our truly Malaysian E2W brand with competitive edge.
